300 expertos en Arqueología Subacuatica de todo el mundo se reúnen desde hoy en Cartagena en lo que será el I Congreso Español de Arqueología Náutica y Subacuática organizado por el Museo Nacional de Arqueología Subacuática (Arqua).

Este congreso tendrá una duración de 3 días, hasta el próximo sábado, y hablarán sobre el Patrimonio Español bajo el mar, los avances de la tecnología para esta disciplina y al estado del conservación de dicho patrimonio en los Museos.

Los ponentes, de gran renombre y prestigio, vendrán desde países tan variados como Cuba, Italia, Artentina, Francia o Alemania.

Como punto principal, se espera la opìnión y debate sobre el famoso  proyecto de recuperación del tesoro de la fragata ‘Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes’, el cual expolió una empresa privada de Estados Unidos, la cual fue condenada a devolver a España. Dicho tesoro se mostrará al público de manera íntegra en la Ciudad de Cartagena.
